Karu Jayasuriya and Ravi Karunanayake intervene to resolve conflict between Ranil and Sirasa

UNP Deputy Leader Karu Jayasuriya and Colombo District parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayake have reportedly come forward to intervene to resolve to some extent the rift between UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe and the Sirasa media network.

Raising a question of privilege UNP Parliamentarian for Kurunegala District Dayasiri Jayasekera asked the Health Minister yesterday (18th) to reveal to Parliament the names of the MPs who are alleged to have taken large stocks of medicine with them from the medical centre in Parliament before the dissolution of the former Parliament. The media had reported that Parliamentarians had taken away medicine worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from the centre.
